We offer warm friendly care
When I think about what sets us apart from, there’s a lot of dentists, a lot of new dentistry that’s coming, especially to our area in the Tri-Cities, is that we’re an unrestricted provider. What that means is we’re not contracted with any dental insurance company. And that allows me and allows us as a team to be able to focus on meeting the patient’s needs and goals, not meeting the insurance company’s needs and goals. And in my 20 years, those have diverged more and more every year. And if I was under the contract of being with insurance companies, they don’t allow you to provide a lot of what patients really want and need. So, one of the biggest things is we’re able to take the time, not being contracted with insurance companies, to dedicate that to the patients. It’s really patient-based. As a patient comes in the door, we take time, we sit down with them, we talk to them, we listen to them, and then everything goes from there. We don’t come in with an agenda to start. It’s going to feel a lot more warm, friendly, and that my team cares about them. And when they first come in, they’ll have a long conversation with one of my assistants or hygienists, whoever sees them, about what their goals are, what their expectations are, and what they’re looking for in a dental practice.
We want to make sure we’re a fit. And after that long conversation happens, then we progress into, “Okay, what do we need to meet those goals?” And usually, that’s some record-taking, some x-rays, and the regular dental routine type of thing that they may be used to. That comes after we really take some time to get to know them, and see what we’re trying to overcome, what are their goals. Are they terrified of the dentist? If they’re terrified of the dentist, it takes a long time to, really, for them to open up, and tell us what they’re looking for, how to overcome it. The experience is different for every individual, but they’re going to notice that we care and that we’re going to take the time to understand what they’re looking to get out of their dental visit.
