The smile you’ve been looking for
When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, I’ve learned, over the years, that every patient has a different idea of what is cosmetically acceptable for them. It goes back to taking time to understand what their cosmetic goals are, looking to understand whether they’re trying to get the smile that they once had, or that they never had. Once we understand that, with cosmetics, a lot of times we go to looking for a trial smile.
We can take some models, and impressions, and photos. We can have a mockup done in wax and show them what it could look like, before we ever touch a drill to a tooth or do anything. And that can really help someone visualize the difference cosmetics can make in their confidence, in their appearance, and how they feel about themselves. I’ve learned over the years that you can’t rush cosmetics. It’s taken a lot of training to get to the point to be able to give patients the smiles that they’re really looking for.
